Reef Bay Trail

St. John's Reef Bay Trail is one of the most popular on the island for many good reasons: historical ruins, petroglyphs with a waterfall and good snorkeling. What more can you ask for, right? The trail begins off Centerline road and descends all the way down to the beautiful Reef Bay beach. Along the trails path are plenty of diversions to explore on your way to the sea.

The petroglyphs are found carved in stone above a beautiful pool of water. The Taino were an indigenous tribe that lived here over  a 1000 years ago in the Caribbean, very cool indeed. Also, the Reef Bay Great House and the Sugar Mill Factory ruins are both great opportunities to learn a little history while at the same time soaking up Mother Nature.
The Reef Bay Hike is a 4 hour adventure due to all there is to see and explore along the trail. The descent is quick about an hour, and ascent about an hour 1/2; although its always the most work heading back up the hill to Centerline road.  ; )
