Saint John

Saint John, in the U.S. Virgin Islands,  is the smallest of the Virgin Islands at only 19 square miles. St. John is a beautiful mix of hills, valleys, and beaches.  National park lands, both on land and under the sea, account for over 13,000+ acres of exploration just waiting to be explored. The island has over 20 miles of maintained hiking trails to traverse literally covered with historical ruins of the Danish Colonial period. The island's coastline boasts 39 different beaches with pristine reefs right offshore for snorkeling. Due to the topography of St. John its easy to incorporate hiking and snorkeling into the same adventure, providing a cool respite from the Caribbean sun. Hopefully this blog will motivate my readers to get up and visit this beautiful place and come hiking with Happy Trails or at least get out and explore your own backyards.  : )
